Katherine Dudtschak

Katherine is a highly respected and impactful c-suite business leader, corporate board director, advisor, coach and community builder. She has held one of Canada’s most senior financial services executive roles, operated as a bank CEO across 19 Caribbean countries and held numerous senior executive roles.

She is recognized for her strategic, transformational, purpose-driven and inclusive leadership approach and skills. Katherine is an experienced and skilled Corporate Director having served on many regulatory, not for profit and domestic and international corporate boards.

Committed to community leadership, Katherine has dedicated time and leadership to causes in the areas of financial services regulation, human rights, mental health, immigration, education, indigenous reconciliation and economic development. She is currently on the board of the United Way of Greater Toronto, Canadian Human Rights Museum, and Jack.org Canada’s youth mental wellness organization. Katherine grew up on a small farm in southern Ontario to German newcomer parents. She is a mother of 4 adult children, and is a woman with gender affirming experience.

She affirmed her gender in June 2019, coming out as Katherine in front of 80,000 colleagues, many employees of the division she was leading. She experienced a profound level of kindness and embrace. Katherine also gained deep insights into the anxieties, fears and lived experiences of so many of us. Her experience forever changed her perspective and approach to leadership and organizational effectiveness, key aspects of building a true socially, economically and environmentally sustainable world.

Katherine has been recognized across Canada and beyond for her leadership and impact by many organizations including Catalyst Canada, CGLCC Canada’s LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, Montreal Chamber of Commerce, Universal Womens Network. Her honours include Catalyst Honours Award, CGLCC Legacy Award, Universal Womens Network – Woman of Inspiration Award.
